Building and growing products for curious, ambitious people who want to learn and keep getting better. Wanna join the tribe?
Deepstash is a micro-learning platform with millions of users consuming bite-sized insights on everything from psychology to productivity. Paladin teaches history through interactive, narrative-driven experiences. Protocol focuses on longevity and personal optimization, helping people make better decisions for their long-term performance. Together, our products serve over 10 million users worldwide.
Behind them is an awesome 60-person team based in Bucharest, led by repeat founders who've already built and successfully exited a global product company, but somehow decided to do it all over again. Bigger, better, even more fun this time.
We're a fast-growing consumer scaleup with strong unit economics and a proven ability to build, launch, and scale multiple products in parallel - fast, deliberately, and without unnecessary ceremony. Our current focus is on scaling what already works, expanding the product portfolio with the same core DNA, and strengthening the systems that let us move lightning-fast without breaking (too much) stuff.
This tends to be a great place and time for people who are comfortable making decisions, owning the outcome, and don't need a committee to get good work out the door. If that sounds like you, here's how you'd fit in:
The Role
Our apps are content products. The ideas, stories, visuals, and narratives inside them ARE the product experience. We have the people who make the content - writers, animators, designers, tools - but we're missing the person who runs the machine. Someone who sets the goals, keeps the team shipping on cadence, maintains the quality bar, and makes sure every piece of content lands the way it should.
Think of it like a showrunner role. You're not writing every script, but you're the one who knows what the show is supposed to feel like, whether an episode is ready to air, and how to keep a full production schedule moving without things falling apart.
You'll work across our entire portfolio. Each app has its own content format and audience, but the operational discipline and creative standards should be consistent. What you build for one product should make the next one easier.
You'll Be In Charge Of
Content Operations & Shipping Cadence
- Own the content production pipeline across all apps - from planning to publish
- Set goals, deadlines, and output targets for writers, animators, and designers
- Build systems that make the team predictable: everyone knows what's shipping, when, and why
- Remove blockers, flag quality issues early, and keep the whole thing moving
Quality & Creative Direction
- Define and maintain the quality bar for every content format across our apps
- Review and evaluate text, video, animations, and interactive content with a sharp editorial eye
- Make sure content feels right for each product - bite-sized and punchy in Deepstash, narrative and immersive in Paladin, precise and actionable in Protocol
- Push the team to find the sweet spot between educational value and genuine entertainment
Format & Experience Design
- Own the content formats that define how users experience our apps
- Think about content the way a game designer thinks about levels - pacing, progression, reward, variety
- Identify what's working, what's getting stale, and where there's room to experiment with new formats
- Collaborate with product and engineering to evolve how content is structured and delivered
Scaling with AI
- Use AI tools to accelerate content production, drafting, and iteration without sacrificing quality
- Build workflows where AI handles volume and humans handle taste
- Stay on top of what's newly possible and figure out how it applies to our content pipeline
Cross-Product Content Strategy
- Build frameworks and templates that work across the portfolio
- Make sure learnings from one app compound into the others
- Think about how content connects across products for users who use more than one app
What We're Looking For
Must Haves
Content Sensibility & Taste
- You can look at a piece of content and immediately tell if it's good, almost good, or wrong
- You have an artistic eye - you notice when visuals, copy, and pacing are off, even if you can't always produce them yourself
- You care deeply about the difference between content that informs and content that actually makes someone feel something
Operational Discipline
- You're organized to the point where other people find it slightly annoying
- You can manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and people without things slipping through the cracks
- You build systems and processes, not just to-do lists
- You know how to hold a team accountable without micromanaging
Product Thinking
- You understand that content is not separate from the product - it IS the product
- You think about content in terms of user engagement, retention, and experience quality
- You can connect a content decision to a product metric and explain why it matters
Curiosity & Range
- You're genuinely interested in ideas across many domains - psychology, history, science, health, business
- You consume content voraciously and have opinions about what makes it good or bad
- You can context-switch between evaluating a 30-second animation and reviewing a 500-word insight in the same hour
Strong Signals
- You play games seriously. Not casually - you understand progression systems, reward loops, pacing, and what makes an experience feel compulsive. You see the parallels between great game design and great content design.
- You've managed creative teams before - writers, designers, animators - and you know how to get the best work out of creative people without crushing them
- You've worked with content-heavy products (media, edtech, gaming, publishing) at some meaningful scale
- You're comfortable using AI in your daily workflow and have already figured out where it helps and where it doesn't
- You're already a Deepstash or Paladin user and have strong opinions about our content
